Speaking of Gifts…

As I mentioned in my last post, the gift of flight is a great one for any young boy or girl, even the young at heart. While I agree that an airplane ride might not be feasible for everyone, there are some ground-based alternatives. One of our advertisers is Ikarus, maker of a nice line of flight simulators (of both actual and radio-controlled airplanes) for both Windows and Mac platforms. That’s the company’s virtual Pitts pictured above; great-looking bipe, huh? Ikarus is offering some sweet combo deals just in time for Christmas, so click here for deals on aeroflyFS and aerofly5.7 packages.

For even more gift ideas, be sure to check out Flight Journal. Every issue is full of items sure to please the aviation enthusiasts in your life.

About the author

Online Editor I've been around airplanes since I was a kid. That's when my uncle, a professional pilot, showed me how to fly his Cessna 177 Cardinal. l later became a writer and editor, so covering the exciting and ever-changing aviation industry -- which I've been doing in Flight Journal's Flybys since the late '90s -- was a natural fit.
