“Bataan” Connie Arrives at Chino

The Lockheed VC-121A Constellation “Bataan” arrived at Planes of Fame Air Museum Chino Airport today from the Planes of Fame Valle-Grand Canyon facility in Valle, Ariz., where it has been on display for more than 20 years.

The last time this aircraft was at Chino was 20 years ago.

The Constellation has been sold to Lewis Air Legends of Texas who plans to restore the Aircraft to flying condition while at Chino. This “Connie” was the personal aircraft of U.S. Army Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Commander Allied Powers, during the Korean War.
