Warbirds Headline Washington Air Show

A pair of famous warbirds will be featured at the Arlington (Wash.) Fly-In, a three-day event that starts Thursday at the city’s airport north of Seattle. The Historic Flight Foundation’s North American P-51 Mustang “Impatient Virgin” will be on display from July 11-13, and a Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, courtesy of Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Museum, will join it Saturday.

On July 12, “Vintage Day” will showcase aircraft from the 1920s and ‘30s, including displays by North Cascades Vintage Aero Museum in the red barn, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while a “Hot Air Balloon Night Glow” is set to kick off at 9:30 p.m.
