The Army Air Corps was concerned about older pilots flying military aircraft back in 1939 and even came out with a directive forbidding pilots over 47 to fly solo. By the way, I’m still flyin’ my own plane at 83 and belong to the UFO (United Flying Octogenarians). Our membership includes active pilots in their nineties.
