On The Wings Of The Morning - Bristol Scout
(Miles) Jeffery Game Day was a poet, who was well known as a Bristol Scout pilot during the First World War. Killed in action in 1918, the bulk of his poetry was only released after the war when a friend collected his work together and published.
In this video, David Bremner, a modern day Bristol Scout builder and pilot, recites his favourite Day poem, "On The Wings Of The Morning".

T-28 Trojan Pair -- Brett Emeny Saves Best For Last
It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Brett Emeny, a veritable 'warbird' legend in New Zealand.
This display of Brett's North American T-28 Trojan flying an awesome pairs routine along with the T-28 of Brett's long time aviation friend a co-conspirator Peter Vause, was the last public display performance that Brett made, only a couple of weeks prior to his passing on 3rd May 2023.
Brett and Peter were displaying their aircraft at the Classic Fighters 2023 airshow at Omaka (Blenheim, New Zealand). On Saturday afternoon after their display slot, Brett was overheard saying to Peter that "...we can't do much better than that, Pete' -- indicating he thought the pair had flown a good display. It is Pete's contention that on Sunday, the final day of the show, they did indeed fly an even better display, and it is this that is captured on this video. Indeed it was.

The Story Of the WW2 Boomerang Fighter From Australia
Watch the full version of 'The Boomerang Story' by trying a Free 14-day trial of Historical Machines TV at http://www.historicalmachines.tv/pages/fuel-to-noise.
It was small, aerobatic and Australian. With its rugged construction and proven agility at altitudes, it achieved its fame during World War Two with the Army support squadrons, particularly in the Pacific Islands.
It was the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Boomerang.
Featuring spectacular in-flight sequences, The Boomerang Story chronicles the development of the aircraft from the start of World War 2 through its use during the war. Alan Bolton, one of the original designers, recalls the events which saw the Boomerang, the only fighter aircraft designed and made in Australia, come off the production line in an astonishing five months from when approval to design was given.
Two hundred and fifty Boomerangs were eventualy produced and Greg Board gives a graphic account of his experiences as a test pilot in many of them. The programme also captures the restoration and rebuilds which are currently (i.e. in 1994) being undertaken and includes footage of the only Boomerang so far to reappear in Australian skies.
The visually graphic Boomerang Story is informative and comprehensive and is a must for the aviation enthusiast or for those interested in Australian wartime history.

The team primarily consisted of (as seen here):
- Ray Hanna - P40 Kittyhawk
- Keith Skilling - FG-1D Corsair
- Nigel Lamb - P-51 Mustang
- Lee Proudfoot - Supermarine Spitfire
though the flying roles were sometimes changed.
This short clip shows the four pilots and their machines during a practice prior to that 2004 airshow.

The Nieuport 24 was a World War I French sesquiplane fighter aircraft designed by Gustave Delage as a development of the successful Nieuport 17. Its small size, relatively light weight and small engine gave it a significant manoeuvrability advantage in a dog fight. Operational Nieuport 24s served with French, British and Russian units, and the type also served widely as an advanced trainer.
