Firefighting Airplane to Strut Stuff at Reception

One of Leesburg, Fla.’s newest businesses will present a unique demonstration today: a firefighting airplane that scoops up water.

Wipaire Inc. — a Minnesota-based aircraft service provider of aircraft and float maintenance, avionics repair and installations, aircraft interior refurbishments and float installations — has branched out with a Southeastern service center at the Leesburg International Airport. The company began its Florida operations late last month.

“Wipaire welcomes the local aviation community, media, and new neighbors to attend the opening reception. The event will be opened by a demonstration of a Fire Boss firefighting aircraft, equipped with Wipline floats by Wipaire,” said Amy Gesch, marketing manager for Wipaire.

Attendees will get to see the Fire Boss, the plane with a water-scooping float, in action at the 5 p.m. Eastern reception.
